Switching nurseries

My 12 month old starts nursery next week. We've just moved house so we just put her in wherever we could find space.

However we're on the wait list for another nursery. Would it be OK to move her once they have space? It's £260 a month cheaper and we really need the money! I just worry about her settling in somewhere and then being disrupted.

It may take a few months to settle but babies/toddlers are incredibly resilient… I say that as I’m also about to switch nurseries for my 2.5 year old

I think you'll know better how you feel about a move once you see how she is in the first nursery. If she loves it you might not want to take the chance but if she finds it just ok you might be glad to try out somewhere else she might like more. I would see how you go.

I switched my son at 18 months because we moved house. I'd say it took a week or 2 for him to settle in but even in those 2 weeks I was never particularly worried about him if that makes sense. I think they make you feel a bit guilty but hopefully nothing that would stop you leaving them there.
That sounds like an amazing cost saving!
