My nursery have just switched to the ParentZone app from Famly and just wondered what people thought? Also when something generic is posted on your timeline can everyone see it? So if I comment will everyone else be able to see my comment?

we use this at my setting. If something generic is posted it will go to every parent but they won’t see your comments and you won’t see theirs, it’s on your personal account.

It's the kind of app where I'm trying to tap on a simple notification of a picture of my baby, only to run into ugly technical issues where the app forgets to let me log in with Face ID like before, or tells me there is a "network error."

As an app developer from Silicon Valley, I'm finding this app, used by Busy Bees, to be shockingly buggy. Child care in the UK is expensive, so I'm wondering why such a big and successful company as Busy Bees, who make an annual profit of between £150 to £200 million, is relying on software that feels like it was built on the cheap.

I know there's probably a whole other aspect of the ParentZone system we don't see. It might be part of a complicated system of helping to schedule nursery staff schedules, or other things like that. But just looking at the app experience, this feels like something I would be hired to make for less than £10,000.

I feel like Busy Bees's other apps are much slicker than this?

p.s. I have seen better pieces of software built on hackathon nights!
