Ok,
I need some advice, please please please....
My little one goes to a local nursery three days a week, with which I am very happy. However, there's one member of staff that I'm not sure about.
She's in her early twenties I reckon. Nice enough, not sure you would want to live nextdoor to her as I can imagine her being a bit of a busybody. She obviously likes my daughter and this is the thing.....a few times when I pick Meg up she has got Meg to give her a cuddle and kiss goodbye.
the other day when I dropped her off one of the other staff said 'wave mummy goodbye' and Meg sort of waved randomly (she had her eye on breakfast !) and this girl said,
'oh look, she waves at me when you say that !!'
as if Meg thought she was her mum.
its bugging me.
one of our friends with kids says the kissing thing is all wrong.
The other girls at the nursery all are friendly to Meg but I have never seen any of them actually kiss her.
Am I being hormonal and oversensitive (I'm pregnant) or is this girl overstepping the mark ?
I have discussed it with the o/h and he is coming with me tonight to collect her so he can see for himself.
what do you think, please ?

My ds2 kisses and cuddles the nursery staff - i am happy with this; i know i am his mother and am actually pleased he likes them enough to do this; he must be happy there, i think.

I think it sounds like favourtism if she is only doing it with your DD - she sounds rather unprofessional TBH. If I were another parent I wouldn't like it either iyswim. I'd see what OH thinks and maybe discuss it with the boss/manager.

Some of the nursery staff at my DS's nursery give him a kiss and cuddle. I don't see any harm in it. He wouldn't do it if he didn't want to.

If you feel uncomfortable about it, speak to the Manager and ask her to have a quiet word about it! I guess the girl in question probably just has a soft spot for your DD and means nothing by it!

IF THE CHILD HIM SELF ASK TO BE KISSED OR HUGED IS OK ,BUT IF THE STAFF ASK TO KISS OR HUGE EST. THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!!!!

Thanks, I would hate it if she was asking for cuddles and they were not giving her a cuddle, but this girl seems a bit OTT.
I was just not sure if I was being a bit over worried - I'm pregnant and the hormones are all over the shop !!
