My deputy has had her car pranged quite badly in the nursery car-park,one of those that doesn't break the paint so isn't noticeable at first. No-one has come forward to admit to it. Where it is it HAS to have been a parent & only a handful of ours drive on that day lots of locals who walk. She's just had it assessed today & it'll cost her £200!!as she doesn't want to lose her NCB.

She was well-parked in her usual place & the kind of bump indicates it must have been a door swinging open-possibly in the high winds. The garage said there is no way someone would have NOT realised they'd done it.

The poor lass has only had it 2 weeks -it's a lovely little (old but in good nick)convertible her parents bought her for her 40th.

Accidents happen but to not own up??

Aren't people mean???

I was parked in the school car park got out to collect DS. When I came back my wing mirror was lying on the ground in bits.

As you said, accidents happen, but would have been less if they had at least left a note.

I know what make of car was parked beside mine and the colour of the paint left on my car indicates it was this one. Will be keeping my watchful eye out.

Do people have no conscience these days?

Thats awfuleven if you have you suspicions you can't say anything though so the buggers will get away with it

Without wishing to sound like I'm playing a game of one-upmanship:

My husband works on the top floor of an office located opposite to a Kidsunlimited Nursery.

Seeing that there are children from 3 months - 5 years, you would think parents would drive up to the nursery slowly and carefully? Would you not? Well, seemingly no.

On numerous occasions my husband has seen huge 4x4 careering and screeching round the corner and skidding to a halt. Parents - whatever car they are driving - drive too fast and careless, bumping up onto the pavement because they are too idle to walk from the car park? Big deal you may think? Again, park cars obstruct views. There is no way anyone would see a child trying to cross the road. Presumably their own children attend the nursery, so you would think parents would take care.

It literally came to a halt yesterday when a couple of cars smacked into each other. It was an accident waiting to happen.

MOH "you would think parents would drive up to the nursery slowly and carefully? Would you not?"

Yes you would think but sigh no they don't!!

The number of times I've reminded them (verbally/in a letter/posters) that we have pedestrians using the drive as well as cars & PLEASE go slowly.....lost count!!

As you say accident waiting to happen.
