I know this might sound a bit of a silly post but I just wanted to get the opinion of other mums. I've two older children so I know the staff turnover in nurseries is quite high and that means children get new key workers all the time but this is a different situation. My LO is 13 months old she started nursery in July/ august, full time from September. The nursery she goes to has a drop off and pick up system where parents are to wait in the car for a member of staff to come out to you in time slots and handover needs to be kept quick. I wasn't keen on this system as it wasn't always convenient in a morning or the cold and I couldn't see her in the setting etc. I've now just realised from the app that her key worker has changed for third time. I could understand if the other staff had left or she had moved rooms but that's not the case. It's very difficult to get to know much at the short handovers as it is but it's nice when it's a familiar face and someone you know your child is close to. I wasn't informed that they had been changed any of the times and the current staff member brought her out the other night and didn't really know much when I was asking what she had been doing that day. I can tell when I'm handing her over she's not as close to her as the others who were previously her key workers. Am I just being silly 😩?
