Hi all. New to Mumsnet so don't know how it works. I'm a mum of three and I'm helping a campaign group to try and get better funding for our children's early years education. The idea is also to get the government to stop talking about 'affordable childcare' because this is not aspirational for our children, and doesn't take THEM into consideration. The EY sector also (mostly) dislikes the term because the good settings argue that they're not babysitters and the reason that they're funded so badly is because that's what the government think of them. The group is called Early Years Equality and they're on FB, Insta and Twitter. Please support them in supporting children! Thank you!
