My son is nearly 26 months old now and he has been accepted at my chosen preschool for 4 sessions a week from sept 2008. They start him on afternoon sessions which changes to morning sessions from sept 2009 and have no choice in this as a popular choice of preschool.
He currently naps each day for approx 2 hours from 1ish until 3 ish, he also sleeps continuously through the night for anything from 9half to 11 hours. Do you think completely dropping his nap will be a problem for him, I realise his sleep pattern could probably change by then anyway.

You may find he has dropped his naps totally by then anyway. I wouldn't worry about it until closer to the time

Even if he hasn't dropped it himseld at almost 3 he should be able to manage without a nap, he may just need to go to bed a little earlier than usual.
