Do nurseries generally charge for bank holidays when they are not open?

Depends on the contract. My DC’s one has refunded us.

With our current nursery they don't charge for days they close for bank holidays. They work out the number of sessions and it's a different amount month by month.

Ours doesn't close for bank holidays, but is making an exception for Monday. We are being refunded the day.

Yes. One of the benefits of not working Mondays!
Some nurseries even have staff training days that you pay for but don't get childcare, not mine luckily!
