Nurseries in Orpington

I've been told I should start looking at nurseries now and put my name down on the waiting list (although I haven't even had baby yet and I'm 25 weeks pregnant!) So I know of one up the road from me and have contacted them about having a look around and putting my name on the list (which is full until Sept already!), but is there anyone living in the area that can recommend a nursery? And are they all at about £50/day or are there any cheaper? Thx!

Hi, My DD used to go to Sunnyfields day nursery (Knoll Rise). Very happy with them, dd loved to go! Lovely staff and lots of activities. And yes the fees for the nurseries are the same in the area....

Thanks MimieD! Coincidently, that's the one I am going to view! Very expensive though - £1000 a month!

Unfortunately that seems to be the going rate for nurseries in greater London.... Lovely place though, they always had a very good staff retention. They also have a large, shaded garden which was used loads. Activity wise, they did loads: food tasting (fruit and veggies), sporty tots (for the pre-schoolers), lots of painting, singing, dancing, trips to the library and park.
