Nursery friends

My son is due to finish at his nursery soon and he’s got a couple of little friends there he talks about and says he enjoys playing with. Is it weird to say to the nursery to pass on my phone number to any of their mums if they want it?

I feel a bit sad he’s got his little buddies he might never see again, but also don’t know if it’s a bit of a strange thing to do and don’t know if anyone would bother to contact me anyway?

I also don't know what these parents are like haha, due to covid we have never really been in the nursery much etc so haven’t had chance to meet them face to face.

At our nursery because no one has been having birthday parties, most parents are doing little party bags. The last one we had had a little note from the parents explaining they were new to the area, and giving their info in case anyone wanted a play date. Could you do something similar?

I'm a nursery nurse and I think passing your number on is a great idea! Other parents will want to connect too and it will be nice for DC ❤️ I've ferried numbers and notes between parents several times :-)
