Nursery Friends

My son is due to finish at his nursery soon and he’s got a couple of little friends there he talks about and says he enjoys playing with. Is it weird to say to the nursery to pass on my phone number to any of their mums if they want it?

I feel a bit sad he’s got his little buddies he might never see again, but also don’t know if it’s a bit of a strange thing to do and don’t know if anyone would bother to contact me anyway?

I also don't know what these parents are like haha, due to covid we have never really been in the nursery much etc so haven’t had chance to meet them face to face.

How old?

Tbh... DDs can barely remember their friends from the schools they left in Yr1. Just name a few names. DD did recount a nursery party recently, but couldn't tell you whose party it was or anything- just that the pony did a massive wee all over the courtyard.

My DS is in reception and still talks about his little nursery friend, it is heartbreaking. However he went to nursery close to my work on an industrial estate which is 45 mins from here, and goes to school close to the house. So that child could be anywhere in a radius around the nursery and no idea how to contact them. I suppose it depends on how local the nursery is to you.
