It’s divided opinion at my work (if in doubt we put it on so are doing so). Just seeing what others are doing?
I wouldn’t have considered it in march, but checked the UV rating and it’s Medium, so now feeling sheepish!

I'm a childminder and no I wouldn't usually at this time of year. UV is also only 2 all day today. But obv if I was outside and it was so so hot I defo would.

UV level 3 and over at my DDs nursery, it's been 3 this week so had to get some for her bag

Justjoinedforthis · 24/03/2022 12:58

Thanks, sorry should have mentioned we are in London. That’s interesting they have a rule for UV 3 and over, I am going to pass that on to my manager.

My London nursery has asked us to bring sun cream in so assume they are going to.

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 24/03/2022 13:11

I took some in with DD and DS this morning so we’ll see if they put it on when I pick them up but I burned a little yesterday whilst doing gardening so the UV is definitely strong enough

RealRaymondReddington · 24/03/2022 13:17

Our nursery has been as they try and keep the children outside for quite a bit of the time if the weather is good.

Mysterian · 24/03/2022 18:55

Nearly. We put it on at 4 and above. It was 3 today.

insancerre · 24/03/2022 18:58

No, but I’m in the north west

OnceuponaRainbow18 · 24/03/2022 19:01

My kids nursery have sun creamed then this week, personally I wouldn’t have my own kids. But maybe someone else’s

Bigoldmachine · 24/03/2022 19:05

Yes because my husband works outside and got sunburned on Tuesday

sophs29 · 24/03/2022 19:08

I haven't done, but wish I did. My 4 year old DS came home with one sunburnt and blistered ear today!
I'll be putting sun cream on him in future and just let the teachers know.

CrabbyCat · 24/03/2022 19:11

I'm very fair skinned and sun creamed both me and my DC today - I'd definitely have burned without. It might not be necessary for all the DC, but it definitely has been for the fairer ones.

Cleothecat75 · 24/03/2022 20:23

20 years ago, on the day I got together with dh, at the end of March, I was properly sunburnt. I’ve started putting my face cream with spf on again this week. I’ve been using a different moisturiser through the winter, but it’s been so sunny, I thought I needed to change back.

Nodancingshoes · 28/03/2022 13:47

Yes, if parents have brought any. We don't provide it. We asked for suncreams at the beginning of last week - a few have brought them in, not many....
