I just want to get ready ,I have a Ofsted visit coming up soon and I just want to get prepared what to expect as I never had Ofsted visit before, I am feeling quite nervous i have been looking after my friends child who just turned one for around 3 months now ,the child is SOOOO clingy whenever the mum leaves the room child will start crying or when i or the child dad hold him he will start crying anyway i take the child out all day and come back9am- 3pm as the parents work from home .my question is ,will Ofsted ask me why I'm out all day with him and not at home? how long do Ofsted stay and what kind of questions do they ask I'm just nervous I wont get any questions right and get disqualified , as I'm not sure where to look up about safeguarding policies and other information. Thank you

Are they coming for your pre reg visit or first grading visit? As this will determine the types of questions you are asked. You will be asked questions on safeguarding, how you teach the children etc

Are you looking after your friend's child in their own home, so you're a 'home childcarer'/nanny? If so, the inspections really aren't that taxing since you aren't required to be registered and they aren't assessing the standard of care being provided to grade you, they just check you meet the basic standards of the childcare register.
