Appropriate amount to spend on xmas pressie for key-worker?

My thinking is to give my ds' keyworker a £20 shopping voucher for Christmas - does this sound like an appropriate amount?

TIA.

I'm thinking about £10 for each worker. I wouldn't feel too confortable giving one of them more than the others, but maybe things at dds nursery are different... I don't think the key worker spends more time with dd than the other ones iyswim.

Otherwise £20 sounds quite generous to me

Thanks tugamommy!!

At ds' nursery the keyworker definitely takes on more of "their" children's care so I feel it's appropriate to focus on her (and assume parents with kids with other keyworkers will do same, so no-one will lose out).

Also, he is in the baby room so there are about 5 adults in there so I would rather focus on one and give her a decent pressie than spread thin across all. I'm planning on making some fudge or something to give to everyone so won't totally exclude the others.

Does £20 sound too much? (I don't want to embarrass her but equally want to recognise that I think she does a brilliant job and I really appreciate how well she looks after my ds.)

I worked in a nursery and would have been very appreciated of £20 but definitely wouldn't expect it

Thanks MissPebbles!

I think I'll go with it then. I want her to know she's valued, but don't want to be OTT - hopefully £20 does that!!

It might be worth finding out the Nursery policy on gifts as some have a rule that all the gifts go into one big pot and are shared out equally amongst the team on thelast working day before Christmas.
