Hi - my dc just started school but used to get 30 hours free at nursery
Might be silly question but do I have to do anything/ cancel anything?

Presume they just know but not been asked to cancel or update any info.

I was wondering this myself! I got the usual email reminding me to renew. Which I thought was strange as surely the records show he is school age now?! I just ignored it.

I got the email, and will go in and update it imagine?

No, you don't have to do anything. You will continue to get tax free childcare though, so if you intend to use holiday clubs, make sure you continue to reconfirm your eligibility.

The reminder to renew is for those choosing not to send their child to school until thr legally required age.....term after they are 5. Once they go to school you are not entitled to claim the funding as effectively school are giving the 30 hours care.

thanks for replies all - I got an email to renew so shall I just leave it and presume when DC gets to legal school age (term after 5) these renewing emails will stop?

Also - @mindutopia thanks for your reply. I used to get tax free childcare vouchers before I signed up for the 30 hours free so do I still have to reconfirm eligibility?

I was just wondering about this - dc have started reception but do you have to reconfirm to be able to use the tax free childcare? The only option online is to renew both tfc and the 30 hours at the same time, there's no option for just tfc!
