My DD attended the Primary Steps nursery in Finchley for 2 years and were told on Monday and confirmed on Wednesday that the nursery was closing on Friday

I need to find a nursery soon and need as many recommendations as possible.

Some possibilities

Head Start
Belfield Montessori
Both in New Barnet and bit too far now but happy to travel if they get excellent reviews

Leapfrog in Mill Hill. Have spent all day reading horror stories about the group. Previous Ofsted report mentioned a pest infestation (!!) but most recent one is great.

Academy 4 Kids in Whestone.

Help, please. Much appreciated

My DD (now 3) has been at Head Start since she was 11 months. We are really happy there. They have just had a surprise OFSTED and did really well too.

My ds is at Head Start .. but in Potters Bar and seems happy there though it is overfull at the moment. Perhaps if you can't get into somewhere really quickly you may be able to persuade one of the women who works at Primary Steps to childmind for a while until you get things sorted. I am sure they could use the money over Christmas!

Hello Ma

Hope your little one OK and had nice time Sunday.

ds ended up at Lavendale Montessori- seems to be settling in fine. It's a three minute drive from Primary Steps. Ofsted report no great shakes but neither was Primary Steps' report and we know it was a fab little place (sadly missed). I know others with kids there who think it's lovely.

You might want to take a look.

Thanks for all the replies. Have decided to take December and most of January off. Will juggle work and then she will go to the Holiday club for the rest of December. Might do Leapfrog in Mill Hill as we need the convenience of close proximity.

@Mumsville. Thanks again. Hope DS continues to have a good time. Sunday was great and was our Primary Steps Blue Room Christmas party as well.

Ma best of luck.

I met someone who is at leapfrog there and they are thrilled with it.

Hello - was just reading your thread and am thinking about sending my daughter to Lavendale - are you happy with it? Its quite near where we live and seemed nice when we went to visit. Any advice would be appreciated as am new to this!!! Thanks.
