Hi all, I’m after suggestions on what to buy my sons nursery teachers. They have been amazing to my son and we wouldn't be where we are today without some of them (He is SEN) I was wondering what sort of gifts do you buy to give them on the last day? I appreciate there is so many so was thinking biscuits? chocolate, For the majority of staff on his floor but his main teachers I’d like to give something a bit better? Gift card or flowers? Or something else? Any suggestions?

Coffee voucher seems to go down well

I always suggest hand cream. The amount of times we wash our hands in a day means we often get issues with dryness and cracking.

Part of the gift I got my son's nursery was a hamper of basic treats. Coffee, tea, biscuits. Something they can always use.

I think hand cream is a good shout as well.

When my DD had a range of different key workers across a room, I bought body shop mango sanitizer and a handcream in a little bag for each of them. This year she has the same person that looks after her every day, so I’m getting an ASOS voucher and a little personalised keepsake. Chocolates for the rest of the room. I wouldn’t normally bother with the latter but my DD and her key worker literally love each other and I know that they’re both going to be heartbroken for her to move up to the next room.

Vouchers, chocolates, handcream x

£5 coffee voucher in a decent travel mug went down well with me.
Another time a primark voucher.
Another family brought nice cupcakes in for teabreak.
Anything is appreciated and not expected.

However, I've also really loved genuine thank you cards with special notes. Presents are nice of course but I loved the cards.

Wine. Always wine.

I agree about special messages in cards

DD made cards for the staff and I bought a mixed case of Prosecco/wine and nice soft drinks.

I really wanted to think of something more personal but at least I’m confident the drinks will be enjoyed at some point!

Vouchers for coffee, books or flowers

Rituals gifts were always very much appreciated by everyone I ever gave one

Wine

A personalised card is lovely

A voucher for individual staff is great , you can get ‘love2shop’ which can be used in lots of shops

Shared presents, go for chocolate , Sweets, biscuits , nice coffee etc..

People say ‘Wine’ but not everyone drinks

wineandcheeseplease · 02/08/2021 12:34

Not wine, we don't all drink!!

Biscuits / chocolate / vouchers

Cupcakefairy12 · 03/08/2021 00:46

Thank you all for the idea 😃
