Nursery feeding DD burgers

My DD recently started at nursery, she is only 13 months old. The kids are given fruit as a mid morning snack and what seems to be a healthy, home cooked lunch. But then for tea they seem to be given a diet of frozen processed stuff. One day it was burgers, another frozen pizzas, hash browns etc. It is definitely not home made versions ie. homemade pizza with lots of veggies as I've seen them handling the boxes and it was Tesco own brand frozen stuff. Does anyone else have experience of this? Seems absolutely mad in terms of nutrition and salt content, especially as the babies are eating it too.

My daughter had 3 cooked meals at nursery when she was little! It was al healthy, home cooked by a chef stuff too.

Example:
Scrambled egg on toast for breakfast
Moroccan chicken and cous cous for lunch
Spanish omelette for dinner.

It was an expensive nursery though! I wouldn’t have been happy with her having frozen food at all.

@SheABitSpicyToday wow, I don't eat as well as that! They tend to give the kids cereal for breakfast, same thing every day. He has Weetabix.

I’d honestly find them a different nursery all together. There is no way babies should be eating such dreadful processes food everyday.

We started at a nursery which was doing that. They said that they only served home cooked food!
We removed him and chose another nursery. Next one was giving small children semi-skimmed milk and low fat cheese (although it was freshly cooked).
Next one was okay….
Just find another nursery.

An update, after thinking I had the food situation sorted by having them not give him the hot tea, today they gave the kids waffles and nuggets for lunch! No mention of veg. I'm visiting another nursery this week that my friend's son goes to. I think you are all right, I need to move him.

I’d be asking why they weren’t providing the home cooked lunch. If this isn’t a usual occurrence it’s just possible they have the cook off isolating in these Covid times and didn’t have a chance to sort out cover at short notice.
