30 hours free

Hello
We currently get the 30 hours free at nursery for our 4 year old.
I am now on maternity leave but wasn't when we first applied.
Does anyone know if I have to re-register or update this particular detail - everything else is the same but obviously my wage will be less for a short period.
Will this affect the free hours?

thanks

We have the 30 hours free and I’m now on mat leave as well. When you next re-validate your details (I think every three months?) it gives you the option to put down that you’re on mat leave but it doesn’t affect your entitlement to the funding x

Same, you get the same on mat leave as you're still employed with the same contracted hours, etc.

3yo DD has just started using her 30 hours and it's a godsend with a 1 month old to look after as well! Enjoy :)

You’re welcome!

Yes, we’re very grateful for the 30 hours! I had always planned to reduce my dd’s hours when on mat leave but...maybe not! Grin

Just a note to say that a few years ago I was on mat leave when my eldest qualified for the free 30 hours and when I updated my status to reflect this it did come back to say I was no longer eligible. If this happens to you don’t panic, it’s a blip in the system that sometimes happens. You’ll just need to phone the helpline and they will manually reconfirm you.
