Nursery Shoes

My 1 year old has just started taking a few steps, mostly still crawling about though.
Covid permitting he should be back to nursery in a couple of weeks.
I was looking for a recommendations on what type of outdoor shoes to go for? I reckon that normal wellies would probably fall off or making him fall over. I was thinking that the little cloth rain booties maybe aren't protective enough if he does try to walk outside?

Anyone have any suggestions?

We have gone for just wellies. Barefoot most of the time and wellies outside. No problem with them falling off. I brought him Bundgaard wellies which were the best reasonably price barefoot wellies. We did initially have him in the rain booties you mentioned before he went into wellies. He will probably get shoes in the summer

My daughter found wellies tricky when we first introduced them, and she was already a confident Walker by then. When she first started walking we bought Clark’s prewalker shoes which have a soft sole (I know everyone says barefoot is best but it was summer and she wanted to walk outside). Clark’s have got a few pairs of these in the sale and so have John Lewis at the moment so might be worth looking at 🙂
