Xmas gifts for nursery key worker

Hello. My son is 18 months and has been at nursery for 4 months. He has not been easy, but his key worker has done an incredible job with him, and she is only an apprentice so I imagine she is paid very little, i really want to thank her. Is it ok to get her a gift voucher? probably a john lewis voucher for £30? I would also get a box of chocolates for the floor. No idea what the done thing is.

The general rule in nurseries is that general gifts for the staff are shared out between all staff, but ones for named staff are kept by them. Label it clearly for her.

Your idea sounds lovely. A chocolate orange and a card with some kind words in it would be just as welcomed.

(I still have a "world's best teacher" mug on my chest of drawers from 25 years ago. I still think of Henry whenever I see it.)

I think that sounds lovely. I always loved to get cards, once a little boy’s mum gave me a card with his handprint inside, I still have it and it reminds me of him.
