Construction work near nursery - would it put you off?

We're just deciding on a nursery for little boy who will probably start attending when he is about 9 or 10 months. We've just realised that the one we're going for is going to be right next to a large area of council redevelopment as part of their housing strategy for the city we live in. It's literally about 10 metres away from it. So there will be a lot of noise and dust etc for probably 1-2 years whilst the work is done as well as access presumably being a bit of a faff at times. I'm feeling put off by this but is this silly? I keep thinking that it's not exactly a nice environment for outdoor play and noisy inside too. Just interested in what others think.

I'll be honest and say yes I think you're being silly. It's not forever!

The access issues for parents are important.
Your little one won’t mind the outlook being less picturesque and my toddlers loved looking at construction. Builders are better than superheroes.

Agree with PP - the children are going to love watching all the diggers and building work. I expect the staff will love it less lol but it will open up the possibility some lovely talking points and projects.
