Not quite nurseries but are any of you attending playgroups? Ours have stopped but I saw one in a neighbouring village is continuing. I'd love to take my toddler to one if allowed but I wasn't sure if they are

Playgroups ( where parents stays with the child) locally to me are all closed and I can not see reopening anytime soon sadly. Most of them are run by childminders like myself and our current guidance states we can not take our mindees to playgroups where the general public are. So we are unable to open them , but at same time none us have the time. For all the additional cleaning , planning and rota systems etc that would have to be in place. In our playgroup as none of the generally public would step up and helped run the group all positions are taken by childminders and when it then comes to limiting numbers of who can attend all the spaces would be taken up by us. As we have to be in to comply with insurance and venue regulations . This is why we have chosen not to open the view was to re-evaluate in new year but we have already decided to closed until Easter possible whole academic year as we do not want to increase infection rates especially within our own small bubbles. Even if we could attend I would not be as it was been known for parents to turn up with sick kids just because they are fed up being stuck at home with them So sadly i do not trust the parents at our group to stay away if showing symptoms .
