So I applied for my DS2 to start nursery, and was told there are places for afternoon sessions, so today I received a phone call saying he can't start untill January! Is this right? I applied for him to start in September in July ife that makes sense and they are only just telling me today he can't start untill January 😑 this nursery is the only one in my area that accepts 2 year olds and up, others only accept 3 years and 4 months and up, what do i do? Just wait? Does any of this make any sense because it's doesn't to me at all.

Is it because they're full?

There's only a couple of places that take under 2's where I live so often waiting lists etc.

You could look at childminders instead?

Are you getting the 2 year old funding? Has he just turned 2 as the funding starts from the term after wards if not I would probably say they are full at the moment.

She said there's not enough staff, she called back and just said there is places but not enough staff she apologized because she thought she spoke to me rudely on the phone, which she didn't at all, ill just wait until January, I guess it's because of the pandemic as well I don't know but after having a think about it January isn't that's bad, just wanted him to start in September.

He turned 2 in May by the way
