Sudden panic! DD 16 months but do I need to enrol her in pre-school now?

And where do you start with choosing the nursery? Surely they may have changed anyway by the time she goes there?

My DSs started playgroup/nursery at 2.5; if you're thinking of starting at a similar age, you could start looking into it now. It depends on the popularity of those near you, how soon you need to do it - but many have waiting lists.

If you're asking about nurseries attached to schools, afraid I can't help with that.

Look what's available where, ask around - recommendations are best - and finally, ring for information and don't be afraid to visit them all.

i have found they won't accept applications before certain times - when child is 2, 2.5 etc. well i have only asked two but you can't have that many to choose from surely? ring and ask.

I applied either just before or after Christmas and dd started in Sept (she was 3 in April).
