Baby seems distant / off after nursery

My 8.5 month daughter has just started a couple of settling in sessions at nursery. The staff say she’s generally taken to it quite well, a few tears but they’ve been able to distract her well enough.

When I’ve picked her up though she’s seemed a bit off / not herself. She hasn’t reacted at all to my voice / presence..kind of acted like she doesn’t recognise me whereas she usually smiles just when I walk back into a room. She’s totally avoided eye contact and seemed very subdued and kind of dazed looking.

Is this over stimulation? I might just be being paranoid as feel guilty sending her to nursery and she just seems sad when I pick her up!

Perhaps she's just tired? I thought similar when i'd pick my ds up from nursery. Like you, I felt guilty about taking him and leaving him!

All very new for her, she's probably just absolutely knackered!! Her little brain is just processing it all - think how you feel after a really hard day's work x
