@bensabet So glad someone finally brought this up. I searched high and low for reviews on London Nursery Schools (LNS Bluebell Cottage Schools) when looking for a nursery in Kensington for my toddler. I couldn't find anything so signed up and paid the £3k deposit. About a week later my neighbour warned me that several parents had removed their children from the nursery due to extremely high teacher turnover, and disagreements with the owner regarding fees. I spoke to many other mums who had told me they were suing the nursery. I've now removed my child from Bluebell Cottage, as after paying over £5k for the Summer Term fee the owner refuses to give us a refund even though the nursery was closed due to the coronavirus! She also refuses to return our deposit even though we've removed our child from the nursery! Interested to hear if anyone else has had issues with nursery fees doing the coronavirus pandemi

@aahavevej Thank you for your kind response. We have a 3.5 year old vulnerable child, who used to attend London Nursery Schools (LNS Bluebell Cottage, www.londonnurseryschools.co.uk, #LNScommunity) for around 2 years until summer 2020.

In Q1 2020 we sent our 2nd termination notice to the LNS nursery. This was due to various concerns over the quality of the provision (extremely high turnover of staff, high dependency on temporary agency workers, GDPR breach, Lack of transparency, lack of SENCO, just to name a few) and issues we and a number of other parents faced with its inconsistent and inconsiderate management.

We logged our complaints with Ofsted, RBKC and CMA. At the same time, since we didn’t get anywhere with the owner, we _filed court proceedings against #LNScommunity to recover our deposit, which was held unlawfully despite having given the 3-month notice required. In addition, the nursery didn’t offer any refund nor credit on the summer term, which at first was announced open to all vulnerable children / key workers, and then cancelled due to the owner’s private business decision, which initially was ‘lack of government funding’. Then a few weeks later the instance of the school changed to ‘as per DfE’s guidance’ and very recently (May 2020) I received an email from their solicitor stating the school was forced to close due to ‘non-attendance of students in accordance with their families’ wishes!!’ I don’t even know what to believe from this nursery anymore.

The dissatisfaction with London Nursery Schools (LNS Bluebell Cottage, www.londonnurseryschools.co.uk, #LNScommunity) can also be seen on Google business reviews too. I wish there was someone, who could help us with this unfortunate situation.

The very same bad experience. Children are very connected with their teachers, and to build a connection with confidence is not so easy, needs time.. Unfortunately, when the school staff is replaced so often, as that constantly happens in LNS, that’s not a benefit for children. Besides, Scool have been closed by the owner before the summer term, because of some reason which never explained.. Even Scool have been eligible to continue for Key workers and vulnerable children..
Any refund refused by the owner, and many parents have been forced to fill a court proceedings..

Name changed.

Both my children attended Bluebell Cottage. Initially I was really pleased with the nursery and then we started issues such as high staff turnover (over an 18 month period my dc had six new teacher), then making me feel that my very normal dc might be autistic, every time we had parents evening I would walk away in near tears as they would make me feel that there was something wrong with my dc, they would take children to the park etc without the parents knowledge.

In the end we had a major falling out with the nursery regarding pick up times (long story!). We emailed to say we were unhappy and that if they continue to behave in that particular way then we would consult with our solicitors. The next day I went to drop my dcs to nursery, and the owner was waiting for me. Straight away in the nursery foyer metres from the classrooms and other parents she verbally started to attack me and pretty much backed me into a wall. I felt very vulnerable and could not believe how unprofessional she was being. I feel threatened and didn't think it was safe for my children to be in the nursery, so took them out there and then. Unfortunately we had already paid over £11,000 in fees for the next term. She refused to give us a refund even though our relationship has completely broken down. She then blocked me from all platforms of the nursery. Yet still insisted via her dodgy lawyer that it was my choice to pull the children out hence no refund.

Please please avoid this nursery! So many other parents have been duped. The unprofessionalism is second to none. This nursery is known to be money grabbing and they simply do not care!

Only now that I have sent my dcs to another nursery that I have realised that they taught my dcs absolutely nothing. All they did was free play.

Avoid!!

Me again! Also forgot to say that the reason the staff turnover is soo high is because nobody can get on with the owner. She is very controlling and runs the place like a dictatorship.

@Inermis thank you for sharing your experience about this nursery and I'm so sorry to hear about your horrific encounter with the owner. Sad
