((HUGS))

I remember collecting my DD on her last day. I held back the tears all the way home and then sobbed as soon as I got indoors. She'd been there since a baby... they'd helped bring her up. She was totally bewildered by my crying and sniffles of "I'm really going to miss them".

Oh and then I cried some more when I read all the reports and work that came home with her.

In my defence, I was 8 months pregnant.

My sympathies CD - I'm dreading DS leaving - what with DD and him, we'll have been with the same nursery for 8 or so years, and some of the staff almost feel like part of the family. I'll be in floods of tears when it happens.

My sympathies too, DS finished at his nursery this summer after just two years, and I could barely speak to the staff when we said goodbye cos I was on the verge of sobbing.

I was kind of OK on my dc last day since he left a week or two earlier than the rest but was really sad when his friends all left a week or two later!!
