DS1 starts school in September and DS2 will receive his 30hrs funding the same term. I have 2 options for DS2 and not sure what to go for.
- Stick with current nursery where he has been for past 18 months and is well settled but who don't offer term time only. He'd be going 4 days per week all year around but i can't see him wanting to go in when his brother is at home. His nursery is ok but have a high staff turnover which i don't like.
- Change to a nursery that is part of a private school for a year and send him term time only for 4 days per week. Staff turnover is low but he doesn't know anyone there and this nursery is slightly further away.
I'm self employed. The current nursery would cost double the second one so if he stays put i could only take 5 weeks of leave relying on family/DH to cover the rest for older DS in school holiday.
If i changed him i could take 8 weeks of leave to look after them both and DH can do the rest.
It seems like a no brainer to change him but i'm worried about unsettling him as he likes the nursery he attends now. WWYD?
