Nuresey hell!!

Please help!! Back at work next week after 11 months maternity so introducing dd to nursery. Has been on six separate days for an hour each time and cried (properly!) for whole hour. Staff advise not to increase time til she's happier, but will have to leave her all day next monday
Don't know what to do.. ended up in tears myself on friday as she was so upset when i collected her. Any advice?

at least you know now rather than later. sounds appalling. i hope you told the manager exactly why!

Not told them yet , planning to go in tomorrow and speak to manager. Bit anxious but feel i've given it a try and they haven't! Also spoke to boss today.. she said not to worry to much about next week, can come and go as necessary. Fingers crossed!

My DS has been attending nursery since 10 months and is now 22 months. He goes 3 days a week. He still cries everytime I drop him off, he goes to his same keyworker everyday but still sobs. When I have put his buggy away he is calmly playing. I think like it says down the thread its the calming down tatics that i didn't give up.

They have just been given Outstanding on all areas of thier Ofsted report

Hi Trib - hope you and T are ok

Just to let you all know we started tne new nursery and she's so much happier Staff go out of their way to reassure her and comfort her, there's clear structure to the day and their full of enthusiasm and smiles! Thanks for all the advice, we still have tears as i say goodbye(!) but she's stopped when i collect her so i'm sure we'll get there in the end!
