Ofsted reports say that these preschools are closed?

I don’t know if I’m reading the ofsted online wrong but the two preschools I am looking at say they are closed

But the preschools are very much open, responding to my enquiries and are active on their Facebook pages.

Is this something to be concerned about?

Have they been taken over? If its anything like schools then if they're taken over by say an academy they have to re register and appear as a separate entity.

Search your local news, if a nursery is closed for bad reasons it was probably reported about.

Thank you I will take a look

They may have been taken over. They may also have had a terrible ofsted report, closed permanantly forever...then opened up a totally new nursery in the same place a week later. One near me tried but the owner's reputation was so bad she couldn't find anybody willing to work for her.

On the right of the page it will say if there are any related settings. This will usually be the new one that has registered if this registration has closed.

Have you checked that you’ve entered the name precisely? There may be nearby preschools or nurseries with similar names. Try using their EY registration number as a search term on the Ofsted site.

As has been suggested, it’s likely it’s been re-registered, most likely under a new ownership. There is usually something on the front page on the ofsted site to say this ie other settings at same postcode.
