Playgroup rash

I’ve just been to my first playgroup held at a local nursery with my 4 month old, however she developed a nasty looking rash all around her mouth by the end of the session! She was putting the toys in her mouth as babies do but she’s never had a rash come from this before when playing at home and friends houses, I was going to stop her from attempting to eat everything but the lady in charge said it was fine so I was under the assumption the toys were cleaned, but it must be the toys she’s reacted to so do you think they’re not cleaned and this is the reason? I hope they are because she spit up all over one.

Sucking a toy is unlikely to be the cause...often at this age its teething dribble and can come up fast especially bad in cold weather.
