How long did it take for your child to settle at nursery? We are currently going through this. Any hints or tips? Many thanks

In terms of no tears, maybe 4-6 weeks in our case and in terms of being completely comfortable I would say a few months. So much depends on your LO but it is completely normal for them to be upset and for it to take time. I found people give the impression it only takes a week or two, not the case! But it does get easier and they do enjoy it, eventually

Hopefully your nursery is doing all the right things in small visits and building up to half a day to a full day. Give it time.
