Choosing a pre school

My son currently attends a nursery close to husbands work - loves it there and has close friends. He is due to start school next year and where the nursery isn’t local none of the toddlers will be going to the same school as my son.

I’m worried that my son won’t know anyone when starting school and the other kids will. Does have anyone the same experience and how did hey get on? Would it be worth sending my son to a local nursery for a morning or two in addition to his current nursery?

My dcs 2 and 3 went to Reception without knowing anyone else who would be going there. dc1 started at school with a couple who had been to his Nursery but didn't end up being friends with them at school. dcs 2 and 3 were fine.
At that age they tend to play with whoever is near them anyway. Friendships are very fluid, and it is definitely not an issue starting Reception not knowing people.
