Settling in

My dd is starting nursery in 2 weeks. Her nursery said to come in the week before for a settling in period stating next week.

I've heard nothing from them so far and have contacts them to find out when she's supposed to go in.

Is this a bad sign?

I’m struggling to understand your second paragraph. Have you spoken to someone at the nursery recently? If so, what did they say?

I mean from the time we exchanged emails re payment and her start date I've heard nothing and it's been over a month.

I did call and was given a schedule verbally but I'm somewhat miffed that they didn't seem to remember or have her scheduled in when I called.

Does giving you "a schedule verbally" means you have a time and date for the visit?

If so, that’s when you visit. If not, then phone again and pin them down to a date and time.

This is a bit confusing, DS is starting nursery in September. We loved around just after he was born and put him on the waiting list (competition is fierce around here). When he got to six months they emailed and asked if we'd like to visit with him to make sure we still were half with out choice. We went on, he loved it and the staff were great. They gave me more detailed registration paperwork to take away and pop back in. When I went back in last week, we set a schedule for his settling in sessions, they put them in their diary, I put them in mine, I paid his deposit. I wouldn't expect to hear from them again now until he starts, they did say to call, email or pop in of I had any other questions.
They've set the times and dates and you've added she'll go there, what else would you like from them?
