Not napping well

My LG started nursery this week 3 days a week and seems to really like it there (although she does cry when I leave her but I think that's very normal). The problem is she is really fighting her naps there and will only sleep if rocked in a pram which means she only has a 30 min nap (she's never slept longer than one sleep cycle in a pram). I've told them to put her in a cot and she will cry initially but these tears last a minute if that and then she goes off to sleep (this often happens at home). But they won't do that. She's been exhausted this week and been waking really early in the morning due to being so overtired. Is her sleep there likely to get better? Or is a lack of naptime something her body will have to get used to? She is almost 11 months old now.

My DD started nursery aged 10 or 11 months, and similarly didn't nap well. At home she'd have a morning and an afternoon nap and used to nod off early on her own, but at nursery I don't think she ever managed a morning nap, and often the afternoon nap was only 30 minutes or less. It was just noisier.

I'm not surprised they won't let your DD cry it out, as she might wake others napping in the same room.

I think it's pretty normal for them to get less sleep at nursery.
