I’ve recently asked the school for extra days for my Lo which has been accepted (15hrs free + extra 15hours I will be paying for)
They’ve not asked me to sign a contract or anything, not sure if that’s how it works. But if Lo falls sick or doesn’t go in on the days I will be paying for, do I still have to pay? I’m going to Clear this with the school anyhow.

Yes you will have to pay if your DC doesn't attend.

Of course, they have a space that they have to have staff to cover and cant sell to anyone else why would you expect not to pay? They are already loosing money by taking the funding which is a nightmare for a business.

It's normal practice in the industry to charge when a child is I'll or can't attend for other reasons.
Staff and other overheads still need to be payed. Your place cannot be re-sold. The L.A. won't withdraw your funding if you are off sick for a day.

Yes you will still need to pay. I feel like DD has been off sick more this winter than she's been at nursery but I still have to pay. Their staff etc still need to be paid even if your child isn't there. The only time I've not paid was for Christmas day etc when the nursery wasn't open, but I know this isn't even the case for all nurseries and some split the charges per week so some do still charge even if they aren't open.
