Feeling guilty about changing ds's nursery

Ive signed my son up for another nursery. The nursery he is in now is amazing and ds loves it there. He started in april last year, it took him months to settle, then when he did and got a good bond with his key worker, she left. Then it took him months to settle again with his new key worker, now she's leaving Sad The plan was always to move to the nursery he's moving to but not til September. (The new nursery is attached to the school he's hopefully going to be going to). The nursery have spaces now so thinking its the perfect time really with changes happening with his current nursery. It all makes sense and timing seems perfect but feeling so guilty about it all Sad just worried he's not going to settle. Any mums/dads changed their childs nursery and dc have been ok?

My dd was at a private nursery and then I changed her to the nursery at the school I was hoping she would be attending (she didn't get a reception place in the end) I remember being so nervous about changing her over even though she'd had no settling in problems I just didn't know what to do, in the end (after lots and lots of thought) I changed her over as I thought it would be for the best as she would then get used to her surroundings and reception wouldn't be so daunting, like I said she didn't get a place in the end so still had to start a whole new school but everything turned out fine in the end, kids are good at adapting

That's what I'm hoping for, that he gets a place at that school but theres no guarantee he will. Just trying to make things easy but feeling so guilty about the change. Hopefully he will be fine. Glad your daughter settled and was fine. Hoping its the same for my ds Smile
