how to set schedule for an afternoon nursery

Hello everyone,
My 3 years daughter is soon going to start her afternoon nursery. It is scheduled for 5 days a week 12:30 - 3:30
It is driving me crazy as how to set up a schedule according to the nursery timings. At present, she has her lunch 11:30-12:30 and she naps from 1:00 to 3:00. Where should I shift her nap and lunch? The nursery is a good 20 mins walk from my place and I have another 5 months old to take care of. Someone in my position, please share your schedule and guide

Morning sleep and early lunch, or drop the sleep completely and have an early lunch. This is why the morning spaces get full quickly.

My son just doesn’t nap on the afternoon he is at nursery, falls asleep in the car on the way home ALWAYS and basically his straight to bed when we get home at 6!

Afternoon nursery is a NIGHTMARE! Do you have to do this?

Change to mornings

Why on earth have you booked your child in for nursery during her usual nap time? Seems a bit daft. You’re not likely to be able to get her to nap earlier unless maybe you start getting her up really early in the morning.

Could she be nearly ready to drop the nap? Maybe try no nap with a really calm relaxing morning so she doesn’t get too tired followed by a really early night after nursery?

Hi all,
As suggested, i am now practising an early lunch and keeping her occupied and awake in the afternoon. She gets too tired and falls asleep by 3:30 though, which will be exactly when i will pick her up from nursery. I assume she will fall asleep in buggy. This has shifted her sleeping time at night though but i think i will stick to this until she gets a morning space somewhere
