Tax Free Childcare Account

Hi, hoping someone on here can help. I signed up for 30 hours free childcare and also received a tax free childcare account. I have the account number, sort code, reference number and added my nursery. I am just not sure how it all works plus I have also read lots of complaints about how it can be glitchy and does not always work. How do I check the account and move money to my provider? It just seems confusing, the nursery didnt seem to know much about it either. Would be grateful if anyone can help, my threenager starts nursery next week. Thanks

Pay in via debit card - that should be fastest method for clearing funds, it may take a day or two to clear and the topup to be added (max topup of £500 per 3 months, per child).
Once account shows cleared funds, activate the payment to your provider - note that it currently takes around 4 working days to pay out to provider so allow a week.
