DD turned away from nursery today (term time funding)

It's still term time here but not at nursery where DD has been turned away! Can they do this? There has been no communication about term dates so we had assumed they would be the same as the local authority dates. They didn't say anything last week, like 'see you in September!' so really out of the blue! I'm sure they will allow us to pay for her place ... (£46)
DD attends 2 other term time only settings and they are open for the majority of this week.
Anyone know more about the 30hr term time funding or have any advice please?

Do you not get given term dates at the start of the year? In my nursery we give each parent the date list and remind them on the news letter.

No, we have had nothing! No emails, letters or anything. There is a fb page that is updated occasionally with special activities. Sometimes they put signs up on doors but it's a rush at drop off and pick up, so not an effective means of communication!
It is privately run.

How long has lo been there? count how many sessions they have had to see if you have had the full entitlement for this term I think it was a 13 week term....there are 2 13 weeks and 1 12 week terms a year so 38 weeks of 15 hours all together

Jannier Thanks, that's a good idea.

In my area funding ended yesterday but end of term ends Tuesday. All the children will be welcome Mon
and Tue but the parents will need to pay those sessions themselves as the government funding has ended until Sept (unless On stretched
all year funding).
