my DS has finished nursery for the year on the 6th of July, however every other nursery in the same city is not finishing until a further two weeks.
Why?
My DS gets his 15 hours a week free and we've been told all grant children were to finish on the 6th

It depends on their term dates and whether they've had any training days. Also the other nursery might be charging for the last week or two. Nurseries only get paid for a set number of weeks.

Ah ok. my nursery had has a week less of holidays so far so that would make a difference too. thanks

The nursery gets funding for 570 hours a year starting in September
That's 38 weeks of 15 hours a week
