Employer wanted me to return to work for 5 days in Sept. DD currently does 4 days and loves it, but nursery have sais they cant confirm they can take her for 5 days as will take them over registration. My thought on putting her with other nursery or childminder for this one day was that it would be unsettling. Was just interested whether anyone uses two nurseries or nursery and a childminder?

i don't at the moment but have used 2 nurseries at the same time, one on days i was at work, another on college days. ds was fine with it.

how old is your dd?

How old is DD?

She is 10mths now, so will be 14mths in Sept. She loves her nursery so would be a shame if I cant use that one, but was feeling nervous about the idea of using two, so reassuring someone else has.

ds was a very similar age, I returned to work when he was 6 mths and carried on at college 1 day a week until he was 18 mths old, when he then changed and went to one of them all the time

That makes me feel better. Hopefully space might come up at current nursery, but feel better about using 2nd one if need be.

We have a one year old at our nursery who comes to us in the morning (til 1pm) and then spends each afternoon with a childminder. It seems to work well for him.

i think it works better when they're smaller because they take everything in their stride

She is very easygoing, so maybe it is a possibility!
