I'm cooking 'Roasted butternut squash and sweet potatoes with quinoa' next week for lunch. We've had (and they've loved) the squash and sweet potaoes before.

Thing is, I've never cooked quinoa.

I know that it's full of protein so I'd like to make it a regular menu item.

If you cook it for your children, how do they do with it? And what is the best way to prepare/serve it for children? (aged 1 - 4)

I cook quinoa til it goes soft - prob about 20-30 mins.
I cook it with veg and tinned toms as a kind of stew thing. You can also get flaked quinoa which cooks more quickly.

Do you have Nigel Slater's Real Fast Food? He cooks quinoa.
