@insancerre or others.

I know EYE apprentices need GCSEs in Maths & English. DD has just been told her ECDL isn't enough for ICT? Can you tell or point me at what is needed, as I can't find it.

The training provider should be able to deliver the ICT training and exam at the same time as the apprenticeship. I don't know what it entails, but I know it is often done that way.

Thanks Whoops . I hadn't realised until yesterday that there was and ICT requirement at all. (Slightly surprised that her ECDL isn't good enough.) You would think it should be possible to find out the requirements ...

Sorry, only just seen this
She can do ICT alongside her qualification as whoops says
It just means a bit of extra work for her but it's not a big deal

But, do you know of a document or something that says what she needs to know?
(She'd like to know so she can have a look before anything is jumped on her. She passed the ECDL with flying colours but that only covered certain things.)

There are lots of training companies but busy bees is a leading one

Thank you.
So from that I read that even though her ECDL was a recognised ICT Level 2 qualification when she took it, because it isn't any more she will have to do some other ICT qualification now instead.
No doubt all will become clear in the fullness of time! Smile
