Childcare Voucher 'cut off date'

Tiredemma · 19/12/2017 07:31

My DD's nursery has requested my new voucher by Dec 30th. I have gone online to renew and HMRC website says that I am not eligible to re-apply until Jan 18th. The nursery said that if I miss the cut off (which I will) then I dont get the next round of 3 months funding? That cant be right surely? Wouldnt my current voucher number cover me- I cant work this out!?

Do you mean childcare voucher, or code for claiming 30 hours?

Childcare vouchers don't come from hmrc

Tiredemma · 19/12/2017 07:37

Sorry- yes the code (sorry just woke up...)

Although the codes need to be reconfirmed through hmrc every three months, the actual codes don't charge.

It sounds like the code is valid still and won't need reconfirming again until the new year. Did it get reconfirmed in October or November?

It's a horrible system, so confusing

I remember getting an email for re-confirmation around early November.

It is really confusing!

Ill just supply the nursery with the same code then and see what happens
