Hi all, I am currently a childminder and I am interested in doing my qualifications to be a nursery manager. Does anyone have any advice or guidance?

You will need a level 3 for the qualifications but you will also need at least 2 years post qualifying experience to be a manager
Being a manager is extremely hard work, I know, it's what I do and very stressful
I'm not sure that you would get a managers job unless you had experience of managing people

I am a CM with EYT, but I'd rather stay as a CM than be a nursery manager, even though I have management experience. What attracts you to the nursery role?

I was a childminder, I also work in pre school, there is no way I'd want to be a manager, blooming hard work.
