How much is your full time nursery fee? Under 2 yo

I am a freelance mum, my son is 13 month, living in North London. Our nursery full time (8-6pm) is 996 (4 wks of holiday included). Because of my work is coming unpredictable, this is quite a commitment for me, but any flexible childcare seems too expensive..

How much is your nursery if you send them full time?

Any freelance mum who worked out the solution??

Cheers

£1100 for 4 days per week.

Not freelance so I can't help with that, I'm afraid.

ACubed · 27/02/2017 08:17

588 a month for four days (7,40 till six) after 20% discount sorry can't do the maths now! Also in north London. I know the fees will go up soon though due to 30 hours + minimum wage increase

Glossolalia · 27/02/2017 08:22

ACubed Gosh, that's so cheap!

MadameJosephine · 27/02/2017 08:29

I'm in the north east and my mon-fri 7.30-6 nursery place is £720 pcm. We originally only wanted 4 days a week but not set days each week but paying for flexible days at the daily rate only worked out about £20 a month cheaper

rosethorn76 · 16/04/2017 17:03

I have paid £1200 pcm, £720 pcm (both in london and both full time.

I would say £1000 pcm is normal for london

Have you thought about a nanny share? Might be worth looking into if you have family/friends with similar aged kids.

Check out the new 20% tax relief on childcare which should be coming in this month - see the HMRC website - will be available for freelancers who haven't been able to use employer sponsored childcare voucher schemes

PetalMettle · 19/04/2017 07:17

Mine would £1191 I think (I only send him 3 days, but I think that's what it works out as). It is one of the cheaper in the area (also north London)

smilingsarahb · 19/04/2017 07:23

1200 - surrey

Instasista · 19/04/2017 07:25

£1100 for 5 days 8-6 and I am suburban north London

Don't compare to people doing part time nursery that's where madness lies!

tissuesosoft · 19/04/2017 07:27

£1400 8-6 fulltime or £950 3days a week in northwest London. (Didn't go with that option and DD with childminder)

JustMumNowNotMe · 19/04/2017 07:29

for one? For DD2 it was £48 per day, so £960 ish for a full time place. Luckily they offer a sibling discount so when DS1 joins her it will be £80 per day instead of £96 so will be £1600 per month give or take depending on the month.

I work full time but sometimes I'm sent away so get days off in the week if I've been overnight etc so I just have full time spaces for them so they can always go in, I just keep them home if I am off and th nursery get an easier day Smile

JustMumNowNotMe · 19/04/2017 07:30

Oh and that's east Anglia by the way!

JustMumNowNotMe · 19/04/2017 07:30

should have read the op better! 😂

elQuintoConyo · 19/04/2017 07:35

9-4.30 €650 including lunch.
Any outside hours (8-9am and 4.30-6pm) were an extra €20/hour I think.

Spain, 5 years ago.

PetalMettle · 19/04/2017 07:37

Oh I should add mine is 50 weeks, 8-6.

JunebabyT · 19/04/2017 07:42

The cheapest I've seen in my area is just under £1000 PCM, most are around £1300 for a full time 8-6 place.
