How do nurseries attached to schools tell you if you get a place?

Odd question but when you are offered a place in a nursery (attached to a school), do you get a letter? Or a phone call?

Thanks!

I received a letter in November offering my DS2 a place for September 2017.

Depends on school and lea.

Where I live, places are offered via a letter as you have to formally except the place.

For September 2017, I doubt you will hear anything until after all the Reception places have been sorted. So March/April time

Depends. here it's mainly done online, so you can log in on the day and see.
Otherwise it's a letter from the lea
