Hi There
Only just seen this sorry. Just to let you know, my ds (26 months) has been going to Asquith Court since April last year and we have been very happy with it. It is not perfect, to be sure, but no Nurseries are I don't think and it is a load better than the one we moved him out of down the road in Old Coulsdon which we were beginning to have real concerns about. He is in the toddler room, as are 2 of my close friends sons, and they all seem to be thriving there.
The best thing about it compared to other places is that they really maximise use of their outdoor space - particularly important for boys I think, and they seem to have a very low staff turnover with more 'mature' staff than you normally see. The other thing that we really like, and sorry if this doesn't sound PC, is that their is far, far less of the 'chav' element that I've seen in other local Nurseries.
The main down side is the cost obviously as I think it is about the most expensive in the area but, having tried both ends, I do think you get what you pay for with nurseries.
We looked at Laurels as well and also really liked it - it was our second choice, but I am afraid I don't know anyone who goes there. Also, it was new at the time and didn't have and ofsted report wheras Asquiths has a very good one which I find reassuring.
Let me know which you choose! I can certainly recommend Asquiths, overall.
